MAHONEY RITES HELD IN LEROY
Funeral rites for an Osage businessman, Kenneth Mahoney, 67, were held February 21, at the Presbyterian Church in LeRoy, Minnesota. Mr. Mahoney died on February 18, 1981, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital after having suffered a broken hip in a fall at his home on February 13.
Rev. Herbert Young, church pastor, was in charge of the rites, and spring interment will be in the LeRoy Cemetery. Hutchins Funeral Home of LeRoy made the arrangements.
Kenneth Mahoney was born in LeRoy on March 14, 1913, the son of Arthur and Lulu Moe Mahoney. He completed his education in the LeRoy schools.
Lois Bye and Kenneth Mahoney were married on February 20, 1936. They established their home in LeRoy and remained there until they became owners of the Osage Hotel in 1969. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in LeRoy.
Surviving are his wife, Lois, of Osage; three sons: Larry of Aurora, Colorado, Richard of Rochester and Donald of New Hampton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter Mahoney of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Mrs. Delores Ness of Rochester; five half brothers and one half sister.
Preceding him in death were two sons, Raymond and Jack; his parents, a half brother and one half sister.
