Last rites for an Osage man, Lawrence W. Hartwig, 81, who died at his home on February 22, 1981, will be held Wednesday. Rev. K. Belk will be in charge of the rites at St. John's Lutheran Church southwest of Osage.

A complete obituary will appear in the forthcoming issue of the Press-News.

ATTACK FATAL TO
LAWRENCE HARTWIG

Funeral services for a retired Osage farmers, Lawrence Hartwig, 81, were held last Wednesday. Mr. Hartwig died of a heart attack at his home on February 22, 1981. The Rev. K. Belk, pastor, was in charge of the rites at St. John's Lutheran Church southwest of Osage, and burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons Funeral Home.

Lawrence William Hartwig was born on August 18, 1899, on the family farm south of Osge, the son of Rheinhart and Emma Dieterich Hartwig.

Luella Morische and Lawrence Hartwig were united in marriage on June 24, 1925. They remained on the Hartwig family farm until retiring to Osage in 1954.

He was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Luella, of Faith Home; one son, Wilmer, on the family farm, one daughter, Mrs. Gerald Wangen (Lois) of Harlan, Minnesota, three granddaughters; and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Troge of Osage.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
