DIED AT MENDOTA

Funeral services for Asa G. Short, 73, of Mendota, Minnesota, were held last Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic church in Mendota. Burial was in the Fort Snelling cemetery.

Mr. Short died on August 23, 1971 at Mendota.

Asa was born in Riceville, Iowa, and had been a resident of Riceville for 36 years. He was a section foreman with the Milwaukee railroad for 42 years until he retired in 1957.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a son and two sisters.

Survivors include his widow, Anna; five daughters: Mrs. Harvey Smith, Mrs. Buleah Robinette, Mrs. Seymouur Robinette, Mrs. Gerald Bergum and Mrs. Homer Goff; two sons, Robert and Wally; three sisters: Mrs. Byron Watson, Mrs. Lawrence Moore and Mrs. Chester Tobin; and 32 grandchildren.
