RITES HELD FOR
SAM WILLNER

Funeral services were held Saturday for a Riceville man, Samuel Willner, 87, who died last Thursday in a Waterloo hospital.

Rev. W. Bohl was in charge of the rites at the Chisholm Funeral Home in Riceville, and burial was at Riverside cemetery there.

Samuel Ludwig Willner was born on February 19, 1884, in Vienna, Austria, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Willner. He came to St. Paul when he was nine years old, and to Riceville in 1918.

Emma Tonn and Samuel Willner were married in St. Paul, on December 13, 1921. He was in the grocery business in Riceville for more than 50 years.

Surviving are his wife, Emma; one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Parr (Betty); two grandsons, Michael Lee Parr of Sacramento, California, and Airman 1st Class Edward E. Parr, in Korea; and one sister, Mrs. Clara Rabenoevich of Park Falls, Wisconsin.
