Funeral services were held this afternoon from the Ben T. Hegland home for Burrell (Bud) Hegland, 18 years old, who died Monday afternoon, January 16,1939 as the result of pneumonia.

Burrell Benjamin Hegland, son of Ben T. and Margaret Hegland, was born February 4, 1920 at Duluth, Minn.

Shortly after his birth the family moved to St. Ansgar where he spent most of his life. Burrell was baptized by the Rev. William Galbraith in early infancy. He attended the St. Ansgar schools until in his sophomore year of high school when he was compelled to discontinue on account of illness.

Bud, as he was familiarly known, in survived by his parents, three brothers, Robert, William and Tommy, two sisters, Dorothy Jean and Susan Jane, his maternal grandpartents, Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Hume, uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.
