Ole Hetland was born April 1854 at Norway to Ingeberg Hustol and Halvor Hetland.

He emigrated 1865 to America, eventually settling in Mitchell County, Iowa.

He married Elina Pedersdatter in 1882 or 1884.

Found in the 1900 - 1925 censuses living at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa:
1900: Ole Hetland 46, Elina Hetland 37, Bridget Riley 70.
1910: Ole Hetland 56, Elina Hetland 47.
1915: Ole Hetland age 60.
1920: Ole Hetland age 65.
1925: Oler E Hetland 71.

Ole Hetland died November 10, 1929 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Osage City Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
