OSAGE, IOWA — Omar A. Toye, 69, of Osage, died at home Tuesday, June 4, 1996, of natural causes.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; a daughter, Deanna Heavey of Boston; three sons: Tom of Las Vegas, Daniel of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Tony of Gays Mills, Wisconsin; two grandchildren; two sisters, Angeline Sheka of Grafton and Mary Hohmquist of Big Stone, South Dakota; a stepsister, Bernice Liggett of Moline, Illinois; and a brother, Adolph of Moline.
Services will be 10-30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Osage American Legion Post 278.
Friends may call after 2:30 p;m. today at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, where there will be a 3 p.m. rosary and a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service; Mr. Toye was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II; he was a self-employed milk deliveryman for Kemps Dairy serving the Osage community for 35 years, retiring in 1989.
