Anne Hendriksdatter was born October 8, 1815 at Strand, Rogaland, Norway to Henrich Pedersen and Mallene Johannesdatter Strand. Anne was baptized on October 8, 1815 at same. Birth/baptismal records found at the Norwegian Digital Archives on-line for Strand, Rogaland, Norway, 1769-1816, pg 284, left column.
She married Anders Jensen (Anders born June 18, 1816 Strand, Norway, d February 22, 1876 Burt, Nebraska) on April 25, 1838 at Strand, Rogaland, Norway.
The couple had six children, all born at Aasen, Strand, Rogaland, Norway:
Henrick (b 1840, died 1908 Burt, Nebraska);
Berta (b November 16, 1845, d November 4, 1885 Burt, NE.);
Malene (b August 30, 1848, d November 26, 1870);
Kristoffer (b May 17, 1850, d March 19, 1940 Burt, NE);
Bergitte (b September 29, 1852, d August 22, 1931 San Diego, California) and
Jensine (b April 27, 1855, d December 28, 1919 Cedarville, California).The family emigrated to the United States, probably arriving at Wisconsin and may have traveled to Illinois (not sure). They first settled on land near Anders' brother who lived in Cedar Township, Mitchell County near the Floyd/Mitchell County line. They attended church at the First Lutheran, St. Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa as the Rock Creek Lutheran Church had not yet been established.
Anne died on March 29, 1869 in rural Floyd County, Iowa. Some sources say Charles City but doubt that was true, Charles City was the county seat of Floyd and used in general. The First Lutheran Church records suggest Anne died at home in rural Floyd County.
Anne's burial was recorded at the First Lutheran Church of St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa and was one of the earliest burials made on ground that soon became the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery. [Cemetery list for "Early RCLC Burials" can be found at the Mitchell Co Gen Web site under cemeteries.]

Note: Anne's sister, Berthe, was married to Anne's husband Anders' brother, Jens Jensen, thus their children were double cousins. Not sure if a gravestone can be found for Anne Jensen. Not long after her death, Anders and the children moved west to homestead land at Burt, Nebraska.
