Mrs. John T. Geary, 66, of 1142 Grant Ave., died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of a heart ailment and complications following a hip fracture suffered in a fall last Friday. Her husband is the owner of Geary Paint Co.

She was born Marguerite Horner on August 24, 1897 at Leon, the daughter of Thomas and Edith Horner. When she was a young girl she moved to Osage with her parents. She was graduated from the high school there and came to Waterloo in 1924.

She was married to John Geary on July 10, 1926, in Waterloo. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Waterloo.

Surviving are her husband, one son, John Jr., of Waukegan, Illinois; Lt. Col. James Horner, administrator of an army hospital in Berlin, Germany; one daughter, Mrs. Don Fremming at Travis Air Force Base in California, where Mrs. Fremming's husband is stationed; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Pinkerton and Mrs. Marian Miller, both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one brother, Robert Horner of Palm Springs, California; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Friends may call at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home after noontime Thursday.
