Alice Louise Havig was born February 20, 1899 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa to Ole F. Havig and Bertha Marie Erickson. She was baptized on April 9, 1899 at the First Lutheran Church, St Ansgar, Iowa.

Found in the 1915, 1920 censuses at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa:
1915: Alice Havig age 15.1920: O F Havig 67, Marie Havig 62, Alice Havig 20, Chester Havig 17, Josephine Havig 30.
Alice married Alfred Barnhard Schoger March 24, 1920 at her parents home near Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. They had one son, Robert. Alfred and Alice Shoger became owners of a farm directly 2 miles west of the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa in Cedar township, Mitchell Co, Iowa in 1920.

After Alfred died, the farm was left to Alice and Robert. Alice sold the farm to Julian and Carrie Schoger and bought a home in Osage in 1929.

1930: Alice L Schoger 31, Robert A Schoger 7, Josephine Havig 41.1940: Alice L Schoger 41, Robert A Schoger 17, Josephine Harig 51 (Havig); working as clerical.
Alice died October 13, 1967 at Waterloo, Black Hawk, Iowa and is buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
