Mrs. Clara Schneider, 88, died on December 29, 1942, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Mork, at Fort Dodge, where she had made her home for the past seven years.

Mrs. Schneider broke a hip in a fall more htan a year ago, and has since been in failing health. She was able to be up in her chair, however, and last fall made a trip to Osage with her daughter, when she called briefly on old friends.

Deceased was born at New Salem, New Jersey, in 1854, as Clara Osborn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Osborn. She had lived in Waterloo before coming to Osage, where she spent about 30 years.

Mrs. Schneider was a member of the Women's Relief Corps of Osage and had a wife acquaintance here.

Her husband, John Schneider, died several years ago.

Surviving is her daughter, Mrs. Mork; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was conducted on Saturday in Fort Dodge, and the body was taken to Fairview Cemetery for burial on the family lot.
