Allette Karoline Haugerud was born September 10, 1873 at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Ole the Younger Rustand Haugerud and Maren Torine Ask, the fourth of their ten children. (On the Haugerud farm just south of the church in Meroa.)

She was baptized at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa on October 19, 1873. Her baptismal sponsors were: Andreas Larsen; Iver Ellingsen; Randi Simonsdatter; Kari Larsdatter.

Allette died March 16, 1874 at Meroa, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery at Meroa, Iowa.
