MRS. RICHARD E. JAHNEL FUNERAL

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, November 5, 1986, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, for Mrs. Richard (Mary) Jahnel, 67, of Stacyville. She died on Sunday, November 2, 1986, at the Stacyville nursing home. Rev. C. Manternach will officiate, and burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, New Haven.

She was born on January 24, 1919 in New Haven, to John and Pauline (Kleckner) Weber. She married Richard Jahnel on October 23, 1940 in New Haven, and moved to Osage.

When Mr. Jahnel retired as Mitchell County Sheriff in 1984, the couple moved to Stacyville. During Mr. Jahnel's term as Sheriff, Mrs. Jahnel was matron at the jail.

She had been a resident of Stacyville Nursing Home the past eight months. Visitation will be at Visitation Church hall in Stacyville.

Mrs. Jahnel is survived by her husband, Richard; seven daughters: Mrs. Bill (Dode) Westendorf of Tripoli, Mrs. Norman (Kathy) Stammer of Des Moines, Mrs. Larry (Connie) Bennett of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Mrs. Fred (Faye) Bodenhammer of Lino Lake, Minnesota, Mrs. Rick (Jan) Wepler of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Colleen Jahnel of Roseville, Minnesota, and Mrs. Jerry (Karri) Pilgrim of Norfolk, Virginia; seven grandchildren and a brother, LaVern Weber of Charles City.
