NOTES:1956 Riceville School Annual Inscription:
The Students of Riceville High School are proud to dedicate the 1956 "Red 'N' Black" to Mr. Milton Herwig. Mr. Herwig came to this school directly upon graduation in college, and has been on the faculty for seven years. He not only teaches general science, biology, physics, and chemistry, but also sponsors Science Club and the Freshman Class. When asked how he feels about our school, he replied, "It offers an opportunity to give a well=rounded, broad education."
It is hard to express in words how the student body feels about Mr. Herwig. There are very few people in the world that could top his personality, sense of humor, and patience.
