Graveside committal services were held on Saturday, May 10, 1986, at the Osage Cemetery for Merna White, 95, of Torrington, Wyoming, and formerly of Osage, Iowa. She died on Sunday, May 4, 1986 at her home. Rev. J. Newland of the First Baptist Church officiated.

She was born on April 24, 1891 to Edwin and Hattie (Knapp) White. She attended schools in Osage and later Des Moines Business College. She worked as a secretary for several years; her last position for Federal Post Office in Dubuque. She retired in 1954 and moved to Torrington, Wyoming to live with her sister, Hazel Zilk. For the past four years, she lived with her niece, Mrs. Lois Nelson of Torrington.

Surivors include several nieces and nephews.
