Funeral services were held on Monday, June 8, 1987, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Osage, for Hilda Hagen, 88, of Osage. Rev. R. Hubbard officiated and burial was in Somber Cemetery, rural Lake Mills, Iowa. Mrs. Hagen died on Friday, June 5, 1987 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 29, 1898 in Silver Lake Township, Worth County, Iowa, to Baard and Josephine Christina (Horvie) Troe. She attended schools in Worth County.

On March 12, 1919, she was married to Edwin Hagen at Silver Lake. They farmed in Worth and Mitchell counties until they retired and moved to Osage.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Carl (Iva) Willert of Lake Mills, Mrs. Charles (Elaine) Olson of Rush City, Minnesota, and Marilyn Stevens of St. Paul, Minnesota; five sons, Leo of Northwood, Clarion of Ragley, La., Lyle of Cedar Falls, David of New Hartford and Irvin "Pete" of Osage; two brothers, Alvin Troe of Emmons, Minnesota, and Burnell Troe of Twin Lakes, Minnesota; 32 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
