CEDAR FALLS, IOWA — Services for Ralph Edmond Smull, 73, of 903 Grand Blvd., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nottger Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Luther Wachholz, associate Pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery. Mr. Smull died at his residence Saturday morning of emphysema and a coronary.
He was born January 28, 1898, in Stacyville, Iowa, the son of Franklin Sylvester and Clarissa Orcutt Smull. He married Florence Theresa Abrams in 1943 in Lancaster, Mo.
He was a veteran of World War I, a member of American Legion Post 237 of Cedar Falls. He was a sign painter and interior decorator.
Survivors are his wife, one daughter, Eloise Johnson of 414 Allen St., Waterloo; one sister, Opal Lowery of San Diego, Calif., and two grandchildren.
