George Kuehl, 81

Funeral services for George W. Kuehl, 81 who died at the County Farm Friday evening, May 30 were held Tuesday, June 3 at 2 P.M. at the Immanuel Lutheran church with Rev. H. C. Wolters in charge of the services.

George William Frederick Kuehl, son of the late Karl and Wilhelmina Kinow Kuehl. Was born October 19, 1871 in Alberta, Gilman Township, Minnesota. He was baptized in the Christian faith August 18, 1872. In 1916 he was confirmed as an adult by Pastor Paul Brammer of Immanuel Lutheran church.

On November 21, 1900, he was united in marriage with the former Bertha Adrian. They first made their home near Carpenter, then for four years in Northwood and then St. Ansgar, in and near which community he spent the rest of his life. One daughter was born to this union.

Mr. Kuehl was preceded in death by his wife on February 9, 1949; also one brother, one sister and a granddaughter.

He is survived by his daughter Emma (Mrs. M. E. Guyer of Stanley, Wisconsin), two brothers, Charles of Wilton, North Dakota and Fred of Minneapolis; also one grandson and other relatives.

Mr. Kuehl attained the age of 80 years, seven months and 11 days.

Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran cemetery here with Rev. Wolters in charge of committal services.
