Charles Edward Kittleson, son of John and Berith Kittleson was born near St. Ansgar, Iowa, December 5, 1864. He was baptized and confirmed by Rev. Olsen. On September 18, 1900 he married Miss Amelia Johnson.

The Kittleson family lived on the home place south of St. Ansgar until 1910 at which time they moved to St. Ansgar and have lived most of the time in the home purchased from Mr. T.O. Bakken.

Mr. Kittleson has been the efficient manager of the lumber yard, and has made a large circle of acquaintances and friends.

He suffered occasional abdominal pains for 1 or 2 years.

On October 21st (Tue) he left with the pastor and Mrs. Kittleson to St. Lukes Hospital in Mason City. He died on Sunday evening, Oct. 30, 1921.
