FUNERAL SERVICES WERE
HELD FOR ELMER SMALLEY

Funeral services were held here for Elmer Smalley, 70, who died at his home in Long Beach, California, Sunday December 11, 1949. Services were held at the Champion Funeral Home on Saturday, December 17, 1949, with the Rev. Mellquist in charge and burial in the Osage cemetery.

Elmer Smalley was born to Theodore and Mary Harris Smalley on December 4, 1879, in Osage, Iowa. He lived all of his life in Osage with exception of some time in Montana, and the last 12 years in California.

He never married but is survived by two brothers, Harley and Eugene of Osage, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and one brother, Chester.
