Funeral services for Frederick W. Dieterich, 88, who died December 9, 1970, were held December 11 at St. John's Lutheran church with the Rev. E. Jacobs officiating.

Frederich William Dieterich was born in Rock Township April 3, 1882 to Louis Dieterich and Augusta nee Habetal. He was baptized by Pastor J.L. Zeilinger on May 28, 1882.

He attended grade school near his home and after completing his studies in Christian doctrines was confirmed in the Lutheran faith March 29, 1896 by Pastor J.L. Westenberger.

On October 28, 1906 he was united in marriage to Anna Feldt and they made their home on the farm where he was born. They resided there until they retired and established their home in St. Ansgar.

Three children were born to this union; Arthur L., St. Ansgar; Mrs. Julius (Wilma) Tesch, Osage; and Raymond, Austin.

Mr. Dieterich was a faithful member of St. John's church of Rock Creek his entire lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna; his parents; one sister, Kate; three brothers, Herman, William and Louis; a step brother and four step sisters.

He is survived by his three children; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hartwig, St. Ansgar, and Mrs. Lena Rosenberg; and many relatives and friends.
