Ole Johnson Hognes died Thursday morning at 4 o'clock after an illness of several weeks, aged 63 years. Deceased came to America in 1867 and settled in Rock county, Wis., where he resided until 1873 when he removed to St. Ansgar, where he resided until his death.

He was a man highly respected by all who knew him, and a prominent member of the Norwegian Lutheran Church. The funeral took place Friday afternoon. A large concourse of sympathizing friends were present to pay their last respects to the dead and assist in the last sad rites.
