Gina Finsand was born April 22, 1886 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Tosten Olsen Finsand and Margarethe Halvorsdatter, the tenth of their twelve children.

She was baptized at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa on May 30, 1886. Her baptismal sponsors were: Tideman Dokken (Docken) & wife; Andreas Hegenstad and Tonethe Tollefsen.

Gina died October 9, 1889 at home at Meroa, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
