Christi Finsand was born October 29, 1873 at Rock township, Mitchell County, Iowa to Tosten Olsen Finsand and Margaretha Halvorsdatter, the second of their twelve children.

Christi was baptized at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Iowa on November 23, 1873. Her baptismal sponsors were: Lars Nielsen and wife; Jorgen Andersen and Martha Nelson.

Christi Finsand died May 27, 1878 at Rock township, Mitchell County, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
