Funeral services for Irma C. Tesch, 80, who died December 12, 1996 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, were held December 16 at First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, with Rev. Robert Porisch officiating.

Irma C. Tesch was born to Sherwin and Irma** Lubiens Kleinwort July 30, 1916 in Carpenter. She graduated from high school in 1934.

Irma married Otto H. Tesch June 6, 1937. They lived all their married life in St. Ansgar. Irma drove bus for the St. Ansgar public schools for 31 years. After retiring from driving bus she drove her great grandchildren and their neighbors to school for many years. She delivered Meals on Wheels for a short time even though her right knee made it hard for her to walk. Driving was her paying job but her profession was her family. One years ago after surgery she made a long trip to Kansas City to be with her youngest daughter. She will be sorely missed by all.

Irma is survived by her husband, Otto, St. Ansgar; one son, Don, St. Ansgar; three daughters, Virginia Boerjan, St. Ansgar; Roberta Krumweide, Council Bluffs, Vivian Lampe of Lenexa, Kansas; two sisters, Gladys Bowles of Athens, Georgia and Shirley Fossey, St. Ansgar; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar City Cemetery.

**Note: The newspaper spelled her mother's name was Ila, but it is believed it should be Irma.

The paper also spelled Lubiens as Lubins, but it is believed the correct spelling is Lubiens.

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Irma C. Tesch, 80, of St. Ansgar, died Thursday, December 12, 1996, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating. Burial will be in St. Ansgar City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday at the Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home.

Irma C. Tesch was born July 30, 1916, in Carpenter, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, Otto H. Tesch, of St. Ansgar; three daughters: Virginia Boerjan, St. Ansgar, Roberta Krumweide, of Council Bluffs, and Vivian Lampe, of Lenexa, Kansas; one son, Don Tesch, of St. Ansgar; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Gladys Bowles, Athens, Georgia, and Shirley Fossey, St. Ansgar.
