Funeral services for Christian S. Sieverts, 79, who died January 22, 1959 at his farm home east of St. Ansgar, were held January 26 at the Crane Creek Lutheran church near Lawler, Iowa with the Rev. J.H. Pruess officiating.

A prayer service was held here at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. Don R. Hamilton officiating. Mr. Sieverts had been in failing health for a long time.

Mr. Sieverts was born in Husum, Germany September 9, 1879. He had been a farmer most of his life. He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, a sister living in Nora Springs and two sisters in Germany.

Burial was in the Crane Creek cemetery near Lawler, Iowa.
