McINTIRE, IOWA - Dora Jean Eastman, 91, of McIntire, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center in Riceville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 26, at 1 p.m. at the Riceville United Methodist Church in Riceville, with the Rev. Candie Carey officiating.
Dora will be buried at Wayne Cemetery, east of McIntire.
Friends may call today, Wednesday, July 25, from 4-7 p.m. at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville and one hour before services at the church on Thursday.

Death date: July 23, 2012Dora Jean Eastman age 91, of McIntire, Iowa went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Riceville Family Care and Therapy Center in Riceville, Iowa.
Dora Jean Eastman was born August 5, 1920, to George Wilson and Ruth (Heron) Wilson, in Burr Oak, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Charles Daniel Eastman on September 10, 1939 at Pastor Bodenham's home north of Riceville. Dora got her GED in her fifties. She worked as a hot lunch lady at Riceville Schools. Dora was a member of McIntire Methodist Church and secretary and worker of UMW. She loved bingo, playing 500, Iowa Hawkeyes and her family get-togethers. Dora worked hard to raise ten children and dearly loved her family.
She is survived by her loving children: Bill Eastman and his friend Kathy of McIntire, Iowa, Norman and his wife Louise Eastman of McIntire, Iowa, Charles T. Eastman and his wife Rhonda of Carpenter, Iowa, and Steve and his wife Kathy also of McIntire, Iowa, six daughters: Ruth and her husband Larry Julius of Riceville, Iowa Gloria and her husband Ron Peters Jr. of LeRoy, Minnesota, Charlene and her husband Jim Swanson of Rochester, Minnesota, Dotty and her husband Mel Hendrickson of Rochester, Minnesota, Etta and her husband Gary Hammond of Little Field, Arizona, Kathy and her husband Kyle Mosher of Mason City, Iowa. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Robert (Huck) and his wife Sylvia Wilson of St. Ansgar, Iowa and Don and his wife Janet Wilson of Osage, Iowa; one sister Joan Edwards of Munford, Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Ruth, her husband Charles in 2007, a daughter-in-law: Evie Eastman,a granddaughter: Kelly (Eastman) Karson, sisters Alda Toye and Shirley Wrench, and one brother Richard Wilson. She will be greatly missed by all.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville, Iowa, on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 and also one hour prior to services at the church.Service:
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Riceville.Cemetery:
