Rites PlannedMESA, ARIZONA - May 26—Funeral services for Clarence M. Paddock, who died last night in a Phoenix hospital after an illness of several years, will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Mesa First ward chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop M. L. Griner will officiate.
A native of Little Cedar, Iowa, Mr. Paddock came to Arizona in 1899 and was graduated from Tempe Normal School in 1903.
He entered government service in 1904, serving as fiscal agent for a number of years. He engaged in land irrigation work for four years at Patterson, California.
After 1930 he engaged in general contracting in Mesa until ill health forced him to retire six years ago.
In 1907 he married Serretta Ann Sirrine, who preceded him in death five months ago. He is survived by two sons, F. C. Paddock of Casa Grande and Warren L. Paddock of Phoenix; and a daughter, Mrs. Seretta Mary Gibson of San Diego.
Burial will be in the Mesa Cemetery.
