Frank Penney died at his home at Rudd last Wednesday, June 30, 1915. He was an old resident of Stacyville, having moved to Rudd only a few years ago. The funeral was at Stacyville, Friday, July 2 with burial at the Stacyville Cemetery.

Frank Penney was born June 2, 1935, the son of William and Elizabeth Garland Penney. Frank's parents had 12 boys and two girls. Ten of Frank's siblings were: Robert, George, Arthur, Susan, Charles, Frank, William, John, Alfred and Henry.

Frank married Caroline Barker November 27, 1856.

Their children were: Harriette, born August 3, 1857 (the first child to be born in Liberty Township, Mitchell County, Iowa); Ellen, born December 8, 1859, died January 1929; Frank Alonzo born October 18, 1861, died April 21, 1964; William, born September 4, 1863, died July 8, 1884; Isabelle born September 26, 1865, died September 26, 1954; Edith born June 2, 1868; and Kenneth born May 15, 1877.
