Berda J. Rittenhouse, 79, of Holland Township, New Jersey passed away on Monday December 13, 2010 at St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Berda was born on December 10, 1931 in Riceville, Iowa.

She was predeceased by her first husband John Van Wirt Johnson and her second husband Oscar W. Rittenhouse.

Berda was a coordinator for the New Jersey State Council of the Arts in Trenton, New Jersey, for many years, before her retirement.

Cremation will be private. A time and date for her memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Berda Jeanette Stout was born December 10, 1931 in Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of John Henry Stout and Thelma Bernice (Harrison) Stout.

She married John VanWirt Johnson, he died in 1969. She married Oscar William Rittenhouse. He was born in 1930 and died in 1979.
