Rosina "Rose" Faas was the daughter of Benedict Faas (1823 - 1894) and Kunegunda Lillian Schuster Faas (1828 - 1912). She was born July 11, 1863 in Slinger, Washington County, Wisconsin and was baptized July 23, 1863 in Germantown, Washington County, Wisconsin. She died 17 Oct 1943 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota and was buried in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota.

In a 1880 census she was counted at Stacyville Township, Mitchell County, Iowa.

Rose married George Uschold Sr., son of John and Margaret Uschold, in 1883/1884. George was born October 26, 1847 in Addison, Washington County, Wisconsin. He died August 13, 1924 in Mower County, Minnesota and was buried in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota.

They had the following children:

Barbara, born 1885 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota and died 1886 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota.

Katherine Katie M. was born 1887 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota and died May 8, 1978 in Riceville, Iowa. She married William Joseph Steiger, son of Frank and Veronica Steiger Jr. and, on October 11, 1911 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota. Katie's husband, William, was born October 3, 1888 in Stacyville, Mitchell County, Iowa. He died June 1970 in Riceville, Howard County, Iowa. William was employed as a farm laborer on the John and Lizzie Bissen farm, 1910 at Union Township, Mitchell County, Iowa. He was described as medium height and build, with green eyes and brown hair by the draft registrar in 1917 at Mitchell County, Iowa. He was employed as a farmer, 1917-1920 at McIntire, Wayne Township, Mitchell County. Anna was born February 3, 1890 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota. She died July 25, 1961 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota.

Mary was counted in a 1910 census at Nevada Township, Mower County, Minnesota.

Helen was born October 10, 1896 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota. She died September 7, 1983 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota.

Joseph was born July 8, 1899 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota. He died September 1974 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota. He was employed as a farmer, 1930 at Nevada Township, Mower County, Minnesota.

Margaret was born February 20, 1902 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota. She died August 17, 1906 in Rose Creek, Mower County, Minnesota.
