CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Frederick Gerald "Jerry" Fisher, 75, of Charles City, died Thursday, December 29, 2011, at the Floyd County Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012, 4-7 p.m. at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home in Charles City. A private family inurnment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City on Saturday, June 9.

Frederick Gerald “Jerry” Fisher, 75 of Charles City, died Thursday December 29, 2011, at the Floyd County Medical Center after a battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday June 8, 2012, from 4-7 p.m. at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home in Charles City. A private family inurnment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City on Saturday June 9.

Fredrick Gerald “Jerry” Fisher was born on February 11, 1936, in St Ansgar, to Clyde B. and Hazel (Bullen) Fisher. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1954. After high school Jerry enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served for two years. He was employed by White Farm in Charles City for 37 years before retiring. Jerry loved sports and especially playing fast pitch softball playing second base for the Salsbury Laboratory team. He was a big fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He loved spending time with his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jerry is survived by his sister, Mary Fisher; nieces and nephews David Goswick, Mark Fisher, Kim (Goswick) Beattie, Pam (Fisher) Wilson and Mike Fisher.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
