George Washington Root – January 1867 – March 1944

HOLD ROOT RITES

Riceville – Funeral services were held Sunday at the Free Methodist Church for George Root, 77, who died at the home of his brother, Charlie Root, here.

Leakage of the heart caused his death. Mr. Root had been totally blind for years.

He is survived by his brother and 5 sisters.
