PELTON RITES ARE CONDUCTED
AGED MCINTIRE WOMAN DIED AT HOME OF HER NIECE AFTER ILLNESSMcIntire – Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Pelton, 91, who died Saturday at the home of her niece, Mrs. Willie Barenz, after a long illness.
The services were conducted by the Rev. L. Eaton of Waukon, a former pastor, at the Barenz home and burial was made at Riceville Cemetery.
Mrs. Pelton is survived by one sister, Mrs. Eva Shupe of McIntire, and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Elizabeth Potter was born March 19, 1849 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Stillman Potter and Parrillas (Crouch) Potter. She married Milo Sanford Pelton, the son of Ira and Charlotte (Rowe) Pelton. Milo died January 27, 1891.
