Merchant, Dies
Alone in Home

OSAGE, IOWA, March 24 — Lewis T. Hird, prominent Osage merchant, died suddenly this morning while he was alone in his home. Mrs. Hird had gone to a church service and on her return found her husband dead in bed, apparently from heart disease.

Mr. Hird, who was about 40 years old, came here four years ago from Ryan, lowa, to engage in the grocery business.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by relatives living in Dubuque.

Arrangements for funeral services had not been completed this afternoon.
