LAD KILLED WHEN RUN OVER BY BUS

Riceville – Bruce Minnis, 7, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Minnis of Riceville was killed Friday when he was run over by a school bus driven by Curtis. C. Noble, 52.

The boy had been picked up by the bus and when it reached his home he got off, ran around back of the vehicle and apparently slipped and fell under a rear wheel.

The driver, believing the lad was clear of the bus, started to go, the wheel running over his body.

Sheriff Lewis Haberkorn of Osage, who investigated the accident said the death was entirely accidental and that no blame would be attached to the driver who only a short time ago had been cited for his careful driving.
