Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, December 5, 1973 at 1 p.m. in the United Methodist Church of Riceville for Arthur Eric Carlson, 64, who passed away at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City on December 2, 1973. The services were conducted by Pastor Richard Oehring.

Arthur Eric Carlson was born September 14, 1909 in Riceville, Iowa, the son of Carl and Anna (Johnson) Carlson. He was employed for a great number of years at the H and R Implement Company in Riceville.

Mr. Carlson is survived by his mother, Mrs. Anna S. Carlson, Riceville; two brothers, Paul, West Chicago, Illinois and Kenneth, Seattle, Washington. He was preceded in death by his father and two infant brothers.

Interment was in Riverside Cemetery with the Chisholm-Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
