JAMES MUFFLEY, FORMER
OSAGE MAN, BURIED
HERE LAST WEEK

The remains of "Jim" Muffley, a former Osager, and brother-in-law of Frank Loomis, arrived here Saturday evening from Fairfield, Idaho, for burial in the family in the local cemetery.

Mr. Muffley is well known by the elder generations of Mitchell county people. He erected a grain elevator on the Illinois Central tracks before the railroad was put in, and operated it for many years.

His wife was Miss Carrie Loomis, also an Osage resident, and they have two children, Fred and Max, both living.

Funeral services were held in the Gallup & Shellefy undertaking parlors Saturday evening.

Mr. Muffley was born in 1845, in New York, and came to Waverly, Iowa several years before, entering in the grain business.
