MRS. TOM HARTNELL
DIED JUNE 18TH AT
LAWTON, OKLAHOMA

Mrs. Thomas J. Hartnell, a former Mitchell county woman, died June 18, 1924, at her home in Lawton, Oklahoma. Though but 52 years of age, she has suffered for several years with a clot on the brain. Occasionally she was confined to her rooms, but most of the time was about the house. Just before her death she was taken acutely worse.

The Hartnells moved to Oklahoma from their home near Stacyville in 1908.

Besides her husband she is survived by four children: Mrs. Ernest Porter, Sayre, Okla.; Mrs. Grace Jenkins, John and Paul, all of Lawton; five sisters, Mrs. T. T. Godfrey, Humboldt, Kansas; Mrs. Anna Norton, Osage; Mrs. W. F. Hartnell, Stacyville; Mrs. Amy Smith, Seattle; also one brother, Oscar, at Kirkland, Oregon.

The funeral was held in the M.E. Church, of which she was a life-long member, and burial was made at Lawton.

Minnie Mae Penney, born October 1871 in Mitchell Co., Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Martha (Hall) Penney.

Her parents are buried in Osage Cemetery.
