Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25 in the McIntire United Methodist Church for Roy L. Richardson, 86, of McIntire, who passed away Sunday, May 22, 1994 in the Stacyville Nursing Home. Officiating at the services were Reverend Donald Lovejoy and Reverend John Gilbert.

Roy L. Richardson was born September 13, 1907 in Mitchell County.

He is survived by his wife, Arla Richardson, McIntire; two daughters, Ellen Flugge, Cary, Illinois and Darla Donovan, Beloit,Wisconsin; 2 sons, Ronald Richardson and Roger Richardson, both of McIntire; one brother Raymond Richardson of Stacyville, Iowa and 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Marjorie and one sister, and a son-in-law Kenneth Donovan.

Interment was in Wayne Cemetery with the Hutchins Funeral Home of LeRoy, Minnesota in charge of arrangements.
