Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 1984 at the McIntire United Methodist Church for Alden Clifford Harshbarger, 85, of rural Riceville, who died at his home on Sunday, September 23, 1984.

Rev. Lannie Carlson and the Rev. John Gilbert will officiate and burial will be in the Wayne Cemetery, rural McIntire. Lindstrom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harshbarger was born the son of Fred and Lizzie Jane Adams Harshbarger, January 4, 1899 in Corwith.

He married Martha Siple on December 24, 1930 in Cresco and he farmed his entire life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Mattie Harshbarger, and by one sister, Bernice Winer.

Survivors include his wife, Martha; one sister, Mrs. Mary Elwood, Osage; and nieces and nephews.
