Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 22, 1984 at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, Minnesota, for Vivian Jane Betts, 74, who died Wednesday, September 19, 1984, at St. Mark's Rest Home in Austin, Minnesota.

Rev. Morgan and Rev. Hejnal officiated at the service and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Worlein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born on April 6, 1910 in Rose Creek, Minnesota, the daughter of David A. Palmer and Anna Naversath Palmer. They lived on a farm in Union Township, and moved to Osage in 1926. She attended the Union Township rural school and graduated from Osage High School.

Arthur M. Betts and Vivian Jane Palmer were united in marriage on January 25, 1935 in Charles City. They lived in Osage until 1949 when they moved to Blue Earth, Minnesota. In August of 1984 she became a rsident of St. Mark's Rest Home in Austin, Minnesota.

She was a bookkeeper at Bett's Plumbing in Blue Earth, Minnesota for 17 years.

Vivian was a member of the Presbysterian Church, was active in her church circle and a member of Business Women's Organization.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Blanche.

Survivors include her husband, Art; one brother, Wayne of Riverside, California; and three aunts.
