Carroll Richard and Matthew Thomas Caswell

Funeral services were held on Friday, September 28, 1984 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Meyer, Iowa, for Carroll Richard Caswell and his son, Matthew Thomas Caswell. Rev. Thomas Carpender officiated, with interment in the church cemetery.

Carroll Richard Caswell was born on April 17, 1959, in Brainard, Minnesota, the son of Thomas and Shirley Caswell. Following the death of his father in 1973, Carroll moved to Creston, Iowa, with his mother. He moved to Houma, Louisiana, in 1979 and had lived and worked there since. He was married to Kathleen Kirby in McIntire on April 24, 1982.

Death caem to Carroll and his son, Matthew, on Sunday, September 23, 1984, the result of a boating accident near Theriot, Louisiana.

Survivors include his wife Kathleen, one son, Nathan, both of Houma, La., his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. David Keeton of McIntire, one sister, Cheryl (Mrs. Robert Kruse) of McIntire, two brothers, Charles of Houma, and Thomas of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Matthew Thomas Caswell, son of Carroll and Kathleen Caswell, was born October 26, 1979, in Rochester, Minnesota. Matthew died in the same boating accident that killed his father.

He is survived by his mother and brother, maternal grandmother, Mrs. Marjorie Kirby of St. Ansgar, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Keeton, McIntire, Iowa.
