Funeral services were held Friday, August 17, 1984 at 1:30 p.m. at Champion Funeral Home, for Alma Clark, 87, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and formerly of Osage, Iowa, who died Wednesday, August 15, 1984, at a Cedar Falls nursing home.

Rev. J. Nesheim, of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, officiated at the service, and burial was in the Osage City Cemetery.

Survivors include one sister, Olga Neloon of Clermont and two grandchildren.

Alma Nellie (Anderson) Virchow Clark

August 10, 1896 -- August 15, 1984

Alma Nellie Anderson was born August 10, 1896 in Mitchell Co., Iowa, the daughter of Nels Anderson and Anna Mary (Horgen) Anderson. She married Oscar Richard Virchow, the son of William Virchow and Amelia (Buss) Virchow.

Oscar died March 15, 1951. Alma married _______ Clark.

Alma and Oscar had two children: Richard R. Virchow born April 11, 1920 and Jeanne (Virchow) Pollard born January 8, 1925.

Alma Nellie Anderson was born October 10, 1896 at Cedar , Mitchell, Iowa to Nils Anderson and Anna Maria Halvorsdatter Horgen, the seventh of ten or eleven children.

Found in the 1910 census at Cedar, Mitchell, IA: Nels Anderson 75[45] , Anna Anderson 49, Gilbert Anderson 16, Alma Anderson 13, Alda Anderson 10, Lester Anderson 9, Nora Anderson 7.

Alma married Oscar Richard Virchow September 30, 1918 at probably Mitchell County, Iowa. The couple had 2 children: Richard R and Jeanne.

After Oscar died, Alma married Weaver Clark on February 13, 1955 at Washington, Oregon.

She died August 1984 at Cedar Falls, Black Hawk, Iowa and was buried at the Osage City Cemetery.
