PETERSON, Conrad

Funeral services were held on Saturday at the Mona Lutheran Church, rural St. Ansgar, Iowa, for Conrad N. Peterson, 54, of rural St. Ansgar, who died on Wednesday, August 8, 1984 at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar.

Rev. G. Grant officiated at the service and burial was in the Elk Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Kensett, Iowa. Hogan-Bremer-Conner Colonial Chapel, Northwood was in charge of arrangements.

The family requests memorials be made to the Conrad N. Peterson Memorial Fund.

He was born on August 12, 1929 in Kensett, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Nellie (Medlang) Peterson. He attended school in Brookfield township in Worth County. He farmed on the home farm near Kensett until retiring in 1972.

Conrad Peterson and Jurene Slindee were married on October 23, 1982 in St. Ansgar. He was a member of the Mona Lutheran Church, rural St. Ansgar, and a former member of Elk Creek Lutheran Church, Kensett.

Survivors include his wife, Jurene; his father, Elmer Peterson, Northwood; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Steven (Terrie) Nitardy, St. Ansgar; two stepsons, Algie Slindee, St. Ansgar; three stepgrandchildren, and four sisters: Mrs. Mandell (Irene) Overland and Mrs. Doris Cooper, both of Kensett; Mrs. Nora Mammen, Signal Hill, Calif; and Elsie Whittaker, Anaheim, Calif.
