Funeral services for Harold Gunderson, 77, former businessman in Osage, were held on Friday, August 6, 1984, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage. He died on Monday, July 30, 1984 at his home. Rev. Leon Connolly officiated at the services with burial in the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery, Osage.

Harold Gunderson was born on March 2, 1907 near St. Ansgar, Iowa, and attended schools there. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1932. He was united in marriage to Lorraine Botsford on June 32**, 1934 in Britt, Iowa. The couple lived in Osage for 50 years where he was a businessman.

He also was a Navy veteran of World War II and belonged to the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; one daughter, Mrs. Jerome (Martha) Condon of Springfield, Missouri; one son, Robert of Fort Dodge; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Harold (Marie) Goodrich of Tapoco, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Bethel Stockton.

Erick Harold Gunderson was born March 2, 1907 at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa to Carl Gustave Gunderson and Inga Amelia Westend, the first of their two children.

1930: Gus Gunderson 53, Inga Gunderson 43, Harold Gunderson 23, Marie Gunderson 22.

He married Mary Lorraine Botsford on June 23, 1934 at Britt, Hancock, Iowa. The couple had 3 children: Robert Charles, Martha Ann and Bethel Jean.

Newspaper Announcement, June 24, 1984: A family gathering is planned to observe the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. E. Harold Gunderson. There will also be an informal open house on Sunday, June 24, from 2-4 at the senior Citizen's Center. Mary Lorraine Botsford and Erick Harold Gunderson were married June 23, 1934 in Britt. They have been residents of Osage all their married life. Mr. Gunderson was with Smith Candy Company for 25 years, then employed by White Way Cleaners until 1972. Since his retirement, he has operated a laundromat. The Gundersons have two children, Robert, of Ft. Dodge and Marth Conden of Springfield, Mo. The couple has 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Bethel Stockton, is deceased.

Harold Gunderson died July 30, 1984 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and is buried at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, rural Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
