Died at St. Ansgar, Saturday evening, June 14th, 1879, Mrs. Emily E. Germain, aged 42 years, 6 months and 18 days.

Suffering acute pain for a long period of time, her patience and resignation were a wonder to all. Unshrinkingly she went down into the "Valley of the Shadow." Cheerfully she met the messenger that brought her sweet release.
