Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 24, 1984, at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, for Kinley Klemesrud, 81, of Osage, Iowa, a retired farmer who died Saturday, July 21 at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar.

Rev P. Metzger officiated at the service, and burial was in the Rock Creek Cemetery at Meroa. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Klemesrud, a lifelong Mitchell County resident, was born on July 22, 1902, the son of Syver and Ella Schoger [Klemesrud].

He was united in marriage to Alice Wahl, on June 8, 1926 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church. He operated a farm until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Clifford, Ellsworth and Stanley.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Klemesrud of Osage; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Majorie) Risting, Osage, and Maryalys Morphew, Burnsville, Minnesota; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
