Vera V. Sonberg, 79, of St. Ansgar, died Saturday, May 5, 1984, at a Rochester, Minnesota, hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 1984, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toeterville, with Rev. C. Bunk officiating. Burial was in the St. Peter Cemetery, Toeterville. Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar was in charge of arrangements.

Vern Tesch was born on July 16, 1904, the daughter of Herman and Edith Miller Tesch. She was united in marriage to Ralph Sonberg on July 12, 1926 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Vance of Osage; Marie Mullenbach of Willcox, Arizona, and Alice Chezik of Osage; three sons: Clifton of Denver, Colorado, Richard of Osage and Adrian of Guymon, Oklahoma; 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ralph, and by one granddaughter, Kathy.
