Funeral services for Vernon Fjelstul, 58, of St. Ansgar, were held on Monday at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar. He died Thursday, May 3, 1984, at the Veterans Hospital, Phoenix, Arizona.

Rev. Norman Betke officiated at the service and burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar. Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fjelstul was born on May 11, 1925 at Ridgeway, to Raymond and Bertha Fjelstul. He was a construction worker and had spent the winters in Arizona.

Survivors include his wife, Frances, Greeley; two daughters, Kathy Craig, Chandler, Arizona, and Becky Sundermeyer, St. Ansgar; four sons, Leslie, Hopkinton; Larry, Waterloo; David, Delhi, and Jeffrey, St. Ansgar; 12 grandchildren and one sister, Elaine Headington, Decorah.
